Thomas Mavian
Thomas Mavian is a composer, producer and engineer whom after many years of making music “in the closet” finally has taken his first steps out into the open, testing his wings so to speak. His own music lands in the fields of film, TV and game-music. He also likes to produce other artists and often has an alternate, unthinkable solution to most problems.
“When I understood that I couldn’t play keyboard as well as I’d like, I realized that composing was my thing.”
Thomas prefers to write for full orchestra but is no stranger for electronic music either. That’s actually how it all started in the late 80′s, with huge amounts of outboard MIDI-gear all connected to an Atari ST. His equipment today is much more streamlined, everything is inside “the box” (even though “the box” should be in plural).
“The technology today is nothing short of amazing! The stuff you can do with computers today is mindblowing to say the least. The 80′s were soo much bulkier…”
